Background
A.R. Thompson Designs started in 2018, and is located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. We currently only operate online or meet with local clients by appointment. All our work is made to measure. Please don't hesitate to contact us for your custom apparel needs.
Inspiration
Arthur Reginald Thompson was an entrepreneur and adventurer with a sense of style. His zeal and commitment to quality sits at the very foundation of the ART/D brand.
Born April 20, 1889 in England, A.R. served as a motorcycle dispatch rider during the First World War. After, he ran a successful business making work wear and other apparel. As Britain entered the Second World War in 1939, he began producing webbing and other functional accessories for the military.
Arthur passed away at ninety-six, after a life of adventure and some peril. He was a well-dressed man who drove a Packard and looked good in a Homburg hat. With posterity in mind, he made sure to have his photograph taken whenever possible. Those images are now our source of inspiration.
